WooCommerce Order Status Change Notifier is a perfect complimentary tool that works in tandem with native or custom order statuses. Change order statues from the Actions column or from within the Order itself. Just change the status, add a note/reason for the status change if desired, and select whether or not an email should be sent out. Order status comments are saved to the order and can also be included in outbound emails.

How Order Status Change Notifier Works
Using the “Change Order Status” Action button, or from within an order, pick a new order status from the drop down. Add any notes, such as the reason for the status change, and decide whether or not you would like an email to be sent out.
Once the order status change is complete, any status change comment will be saved to the order as a Private Note. If you elected to have an email be sent out utilizing the “Notify Customer” checkbox, the status comment will be included in the outbound email. For shops with custom order statuses tied to custom email notifications, they can elect whether or not to include the status change comment within the email with the use of a variable.
In addition, if an order status does not have an email associated to it, and you have elected to send out an email notification, Order Status Change Notifier utilizes the native WooCommerce Customer Note function to send out the email.
